You assuredly are if you have no recollection. I do not believe we often simply pop into existence fully grown. Rather, as all human beings are, we grow and mature with time. It is simply that now our memories have been cruelly torn from us and tampered with, our captors contenting themselves with playing god and laughing in amusement at watching us struggle.

It is most troubling. But it seems your unit has already tried to speak with you on the matter.

Now that I think about it, that has been the theme of Pep! Pep! for a little while now, hasn't it? Color names... somehow, until sharing your name here now, though, I hadn't thought over the fact much.

Honey as in the color? Fufu... well, it is a rather pretty one. And you said it is not based on the food, but I rather like honey. It's sweet. ♪

I think I can understand his feelings a little. It simply feels nicer when you can be close with or rely on your team. I do prefer to think of units as families.

...Yes. The dorm of pep!pep! has many rooms, so I was occupied with exploring them all yesterday. Now I am exploring the world outside the dorm.

...Though as you can see, I haven't gotten very far. Fufu, this really is an interesting place.

I believe you'll find the museums to be of interest once you make it that far. At the very least, you seem quite interested in exploring and looking around. I should take a leaf out of your book and put a little more effort into branching out a bit myself, and perhaps looking at things anew with a different eye.
