I'm gonna make you some tea. You okay to sit with Rav for a few?

[She looks reluctant, but nods, slow. There is still birb (borb???), so it's not bad to settle back,]

[Ravioli has, perhaps obligingly, become borb form for exactly this reason, and snuggles in against her to take up preening]

[Mmm borb... She settles back, carefully reaching up to scritch at Rav's jaw]

[In this form, the jaw is buried under a huge amoutn of fluff, but Rav seems to appreciate it - trills softly, and nuzzles in nearer]

[Meanhile, Hurricane gets to work on the tea]

[Huge amount of fluff is a feature, not a bug, so she continues to give a little scratch, slow and simple]

[Ravioli cranes his neck a little, so that he can return the favor and preen her while she scritches, all the feathers along his cheeks and neck fluffing up to allow her better access]

[Meanwhile, it is time to add booze to this tea]

[She takes full advantage, doing her best to be gentle despite clumsier fingers than he's used to. Her head ducks a bit as well, so that he has as good access as she does,]

[Working his contented way through her hair, then, with great care and attention]

[After another minute or two, Hurricane reappears, to hold out a cup that smells strongly of both tea and booze]

All set.

[It's all for him, apparently, as her hands are full of borb and blankets,]

[...Even so, she opens up the blankets on one side, offering a spot beside her]

[He has two, one for each of them, though he holds onto both as he slides into the spot she opens in the blankets]

No problem, dude.

[She lets him get settled before leaning back against him, a little heavy]

[Offering her one of the cups of tea?]

[Hesitates, then juggles bird so she can get a hand on a mug. She just holds it for now, taking in the warmth]

You don't got nothing to say sorry for.

[Leans in against him, soft]

Took up most your afternoon... Got your shirt all wet... Stole your bird...

Can't think of anything I'd rather be doing than spending the afternoon with you, anyways.

...pretty sure Rav thinks the same.

[As though on cue, Ravioli makes a soft cooing noise and shifts to better reach the hair at the base of her skull]

[She ducks her head, sniffling a little before she can help herself]

...Coulda watched Godzilla again. I know that's his favorite.

He's more a Plan 9 from Outer Space kinda guy.

[Getting an arm around her, gentle]

[Cuddles into his warmth, Rav at her shoulder and him at her sides. Before her smile can get too wobbly, she takes a drink of the tea, hands cupped around the cup]

[It's still hot, liberally spiked, the steep nice and strong]

[He takes a sip of his own in the lull, as Ravioli busily works his way to the hair behind her left ear]

[She gets through half the mug before setting it aside so she can loosely wrap her arms around him]

I told you lately you're too good to me?

Pretty sure you mean just the right amount of good.

[Leans in against her, easy, and presses a kiss to her cheek]

Definitely overly good.

[Her voice is a little muffled, her cheeks flushed warm as she tucks in against his chest]

...'Ppreciate it.

Anytime, dude.

[Another kiss, this one to her forehead. Rav has apparently decided her hair has been preened enough, because he fluffs himself up and settles in against her, now in Snuggle Mode]
