Not saying much, huh? That's fitting. A few people tried to quiz me on what I'd like to wear if I could choose, and I came up blank. So good taste in jewelry is the winner among the two of us.

You don't need to thank me. I like spending time with you. But if you're going to insist there's only so many times I'll say no. [ She never did mind about the little things like being spoiled, and she's new enough that after buying her unit abilities and a whole lot of booze, points aren't exactly in abundance. ]

It's kind of hard to answer questions like that without a lot of memories. But you'll come into your own, and then you can always decide to let your past self influence you too.

Do you? [ tilts his head as he starts heading into the mall. he has to refrain from asking her why. ]

Don't sound so surprised. [ It is kinda cute, though. ] You're easy to talk to, and you know what it's like to be very different than a lot of the idols. Why wouldn't I like you?

But I am surprised. [ his ears flatten, because CONFUSION. ] You really think so? I... I'm glad though, that you think so. [ going to walk around to her side of the car so he can gently bump his head into her. ] I like you too, just so you know, though... I hope that was obvious.

[ She can understand his reticence to believe her too, it's very familiar. Patting that head with a smile. ]

I like hearing it, either way. [ Considering for a short moment, ] I guess it's not too surprising that you couldn't tell, I usually do a lot of touching when I like someone, but you said you didn't really like that so I was trying to be good. [ She does very poorly with boundaries when they're murky, so when someone sets one she tries desperately to respect it. ]

I don't mind it as much if I am comfortable with the person doing the touching, so you don't really have to worry anymore. I think we are well beyond mere acquaintances. Friends, maybe. [ looks a bit hopeful. ] I'm just not used to the nice kind of touching, is all, and I'd rather warn people not to touch, so they're not surprised when I snap at them.

Friends sounds good. [ So she pats his head again! But that's all, she's a little emotionally singed around the edges right now and would rather not overstep and get a proverbial smack on the nose. She usually takes those corrections with perfectly good humor, but not today. ] And don't worry, I can handle your snap if it comes to that. Happens to the best of us.

[ his ears droop a bit. ] Apparently not, but... I'd rather not talk about that and ruin the good mood you've worked so hard to put me in. Let's head inside and see what we can find.

[ She hadn't meant that remark to be a downer, she quite likes a little snap now and then, but following his lead ]

Of course. After you. [ A gesture to just that effect, with a formal flourish that indicates she's quite used to courtly bows and such ]

[ he heads to the taisho section of the store, because he's just so used to looking for their stuff. suits are still a bit difficult to fit into and he's much more accustomed to the flow-y-ness of his former units style, so oops. ]

[ he doesn't seem to realize. ]

[ Huh, that's odd. Maybe it's intentional? Some people wear other unit's clothes on occasion. But... ]

You're looking for a Taisho outfit? Their stuff is pretty nice. [ For her, both familiar and not so. Which hardly makes sense. ]

Oh, I didn’t even realize. Perhaps it’s just an old habit. [ he tries to veer himself away. ] I used to be on Taisho Roman Revolution…

[ So not sure what to make of that. Trying to downshift like that sounds unpleasant to say the least, to her. Not everyone shares her predilection for pack behavior though, so maybe for some it's a good thing. ]

I don't think it's normal, but... it's happened a couple of times. Eichi of BARiTONES is now on LiliS and Sativa of LiliS is now on Taisho Roman Revolution. And me... I'm on BARiTONES. It's like they hopped everybody over. I'm not sure what prompted the change, but... it certainly sucked. I don't like change, though... I'll admit I do feel more at home with my new unit.

[ Just trying not to look horrified here ]

Well -- I'm glad if it worked out better for you. But I can imagine it was a challenge to suddenly make a change like that. [ A little smile, with some humor in it nevertheless ] I deal with change about as badly as it gets.

Eventually. It only took this long. I was a member of a guest unit to start, so if we're taking those into account, then I've been on four or five different teams. It doesn't really help a guy's self esteem to be shuffled around so much you know?

No, I guess it wouldn't. [ Being moved from team to team sounds just awful on a number of levels. ]

It's not much, but if it helps your self-esteem, you're always welcome wherever I am.

[ his tail starts wagging. ] I appreciate that. I hope I don't have to worry about getting moved again though. I'm not sure I could take another swap.

[ ahh the tail is adorable ]

Then I hope you don't either. If you're happy where you are and you get along with your unitmates, hopefully Production will leave you to it.

[ Chuckling lightly, and holding up her fingers, which she crosses. ] Consider my fingers at your service.

[ nudges her. ] Don't say that.

I... [ he tries to meander away. ] Let's look around Taisho for just a little bit. I think you'd look really pretty in their clothing and I wouldn't mind owning another one of their outfits. We can shop at BARiTONES and zrael afterward.

All right. [ Inside her head is doing some strange things when thinking about wearing this stuff, but when is it not strange in there? Ignoring that and flipping through some racks. ]
