[This memory is............... a lot less depressing than probably every memory Nyx has had thusfar?

He wakes up alone in an old temple (just like in the last one), but isn't alone for very long at all, since he successfully (!!) is useful for once in his life (!!!!!) and saves a cute magician girl from being killed by monsters, and also finds himself in possession of a talking scythe. Both of them are very, very talkative in contrast to him and seem to be rapidly installing themselves as main players in the story of his life from here on out, whether he likes it or not.

Nyx looked like he was bracing himself for more awful stuff before the memory played and now he doesn't know how to react. None of his previous memories have prepared him at all for the possibility of "things start looking up instead of down for once"? What is he supposed to do with this development??]

I helped her because- it's wrong, to just stand around and not do anything when somebody could die. [Firmly, and maybe a little accusatory... but not towards Freya.] And I was going with her because I had to pass by her camp to leave, anyway. That's all.
