More living team members means more people who are able to watch each other's backs. But even when I was trying to be cautious, there was just no good place to set up base. My legs were already injured by then, and I'd taken a few hits, so either we could stay in the sewers with the acid slime monster or try above ground on turf that should have been to our advantage.

Unfortunately, the trap they set up at halftime at the waterpark caused it to throw people to other zones, which had their own traps.

That was my mistake.

It wouldn't have been a solo expedition. We had a strong avante who agreed to help us, as well as Pink and Ren. The members of future is now fled when they heard the announcement of your death.

I couldn't keep Ren alive, I could barely give Gladio and Pink information, I couldn't protect anyone from harm, I only helped revive one SensitIV after they gave us so much healing, I started the stupid mannequinn chain, I couldn't even successfully talk someone into killing me to lessen the next round, and then died to a stupid ghost anyway in front of my friend who begged me to not die in front of her! Why in Titan's name would you think I was worth going back for?!

Because we're a unit. And my personal thoughts aside, being on a unit means having each other's backs, because no one else can or will.

...But besides that, I'm not in the habit of assigning worth to people's lives anyway. My usual lifestyle is solitary and largely benefits myself and very few others - and I'm fine with that. So whatever ideas of worth or value you're assigning yourself... I don't really care about that.

Every single one of us... well, the ones of us who were there when you arrived - all of us know how to handle ourselves in dangerous scenarios. And besides that, after talking with you a little, you didn't seem like you were about to strike anyone, not that you would have been able to take on three people with super speed and no powers anyway.

I just want to know why you'd risk your life for someone you don't care about when you'd leave someone you should! That makes no sense!

Because I know my unitmates can handle themselves against a single newcomer whether or not I'm there. And because just now, we were in a game where we needed to be backing each other up, which I tried and failed to do.

Again, I don't consider a brand new unitmate who is guaranteed not to have any powers of their own to be anywhere on the same level of a threat as losing a game because I didn't try to back up my unitmate.

If you'd like to think it over for a moment, could you do it more quietly? I'd like to get more work on this done if I can.
