As discussed earlier, your assistive flight device has been finished! This is a prototype and while it is capable of very high speeds I would like to stress that it is incredibly fragile and completely untested for speeds higher than 240 km/h. If any structural damage is detected, you will hear a loud warning siren. Please land immediately if this occurs and report the issue as quickly as feasible!
You'll likely need assistance in putting the device on, and obviously I could not test for comfort though the materials used have been made incredibly lightweight and unobtrusive - everything should fit perfectly to your wingspan and move with your body as if part of it! I won't go into detail on the exact mechanism of operation (unless you'd like to hear about it!), but as always the easiest way I found to allow for free flight was to use light. As such, the device produces a large volume of optical radiation to counteract the force of gravity - this is what allows you to take to the air, and also will allow you to land safely.
THIS MEANS THAT TAKEOFF AND LANDING ARE BOTH VERY BRIGHT, AND PROPER PROTECTION SHOULD BE USED WHEN ENGAGING THE LAUNCH MECHANISM!!!!
The launch mechanism is something I am very proud of! Simply use Self-Fulfilling Prophecy to "predict" that you will immediately take flight. Normally, this wouldn't do anything, but since you have a device capable of just that it will "randomly" activate and you'll find yourself in the air, where the lights will dim and you'll be able to control your flight with your wings as you normally would.
This allows you to fly as long as you can use your powers, offers potential strategic options by utilizing predictions as a timer, and also prevents the device from being activated accidentally or used against you (except by your own squadmates?).
