At... Nero's suggestion, I've started a collection of fancy knives for sexy things.

W-Well. It was... because of something I had in my ideal world. There was a whole wall of fancy knives in the bedroom. I had to explain to him that they were, um, kinky knives. I think that... helped him out in the end, though. Anyway, he gave me the fancy knife for Christmas to start my collection.

If we're going to be... working together, like in Nero's vision, a work knife would be good too, though. Well, for that it could even be a sword. Daggers are better for assassination, but swords are probably better for devil-hunting.

More than tradition, it's a completely different style of fighting. A dagger's fine in a situation where your opponent won't have the chance to retaliate, but a drawn-out fight with a dangerous opponent is different. I know you like to talk about how strong I am, but if I'm facing a demon I doubt I'm any more physically durable than you are... so something with reach would be better. Guns, obviously, but even a polearm or some kind of chain weapon...

This is a situation where Nero's more likely to have ideas than I am. Especially if you want advice on using guns.

I don't need advice on using guns. I don't need that much advice on killing things... Well, there are probably some specific tips that will be useful for demons, but...

Mm, what I mean is more like... If I'm close enough to a demon to use a dagger—one of the ones from you guys' memories, a big suit of armor or something with too many arms or tentacles—it would probably just kill me. I don't think that's something someone like Nero or Vergil are used to.

No... those with demonic heritage can shrug off such things.

But I'll need the support. I suppose the short version is that I'm not sure why you and Nero think I'm better equipped to fight demons than you are. Though I appreciate the... confidence.

Maybe not Nero, but definitely more than me. I relied entirely on my familiars to kill demons... lacking them, I'm at a severe disadvantage. I can still use magic, but it's hardly enough to put me on the same level.

...The same level as what, exactly? A human teenager who played an assassin on TV?

You can actually use those daggers effectively. I'm not saying your primed to become a devil hunter right away--but there's a clear path for you, given what skills you have.

And you don't think there is for you? Are you going to tell me you've forgotten everything about using a sword from being Vergil?

I don't know about that, but... even assuming Vergil's not going to let go of Yamato, we'll just have to find a sword that suits you, too.

It seems pretty obvious to me. It's the same way I'd do it. You'd need some physical training, but that's the easy part. It's not like I could just learn magic.
