[ After a long, long, long night, you wake in the dead zone, having slept more deeply than you've ever slept before.

Perhaps more restfully than you've ever slept before, even—do you remember your dreams? Is it all coming back to you, now?

For certain dreamers, the flower markings have disappeared, though if you wake early enough you can catch them glowing bright before burning away painlessly. With that, it feels as though maybe a weight's been lifted off your shoulders—maybe you really needed that sleep.

For certain dreamers, you may find yourself waking up with something new—was that always in your hands? Where did you get that from? Do you remember?

And, for a certain few unlucky dreamers, you may find yourself waking with pain, wounds or scars that remind you that what happened last night was not entirely a dream.

But then, who could ever believe it was a dream anyway?

The sun shines bright; Heaven's chain shines brighter. In the distance, white clouds roll toward the city, threatening rain.

And in either case I was the one who was reckless, so. I can't exactly complain about it.

I wanted to make sure I wouldn't miss anything important for Vergil so I went to that field of flowers three times, and died the first two. The best way I can describe it is that I was slowly drained by flowers.

It wasn't pleasant and that's not the kind of pain I enjoy. There is something else I'm feeling unsettled about but I can't place my finger on it. It's like the memory is missing, so I'm just left with this vague feeling that something is out of place.

....it was very stubborn, to keep returning to that field. Did you accomplish what you wanted?

I did. I reached for the book that was discarded there and it took me to a different library, one in which Raven was sleeping in. But I left him alone — I didn't want to mess with Vergil's sense of self too much.

Interesting. I encountered that as well. But it seemed the exact same as the library from Raven's own soul.

Oh. You were in Raven's soul as well?

[temperedinpride]

And Nero's. I feel as if there was more as well.

[time5kip]

I can't remember who else I was in either, but I was definitely less busy than you have been.

I suppose that depends on the definition of busy.

[He'll lead them into Baritones, heading for Emet's room.]

I do not recall dying.

Oh, should I inquire in the ways you've been busy? I'm sure you have some surprises lined up there.

I think there are some things you'd rather not know.

When you put it like that I feel like I'm only getting more curious about it.

[He laughs, pulling the hat and beard and mask etc off, ushering Five to the bathroom. Time to clean up. Five may or may not be covered in blood but he definitely is.]

Ask me later. For now let us get comfortable. We may all just have woken but I suspect there will be need of cuddling for a bit.

[ He looks a little surprised that he's guiding him with him, but doesn't comment on it, and instead follows, taking the time to remove his clothes as well ]

I'll take care of washing you.

I'm not the one in shock. But if it will soothe you to do something feel free. I really just planned to get us rinsed off.

But I do find the action soothing so if you don't have a preference for Vergil doing that for you, it would help.

Not shock then. But yes, I would be happy for your attention.

[ he just nods and goes to start the bath, partly to just keep himself busy and partly because now he feels awkward ]

[Five is cute. He'll come lean on him companionably.]

[He kisses the top of his head and sheds his robe, sliding into the water and holding a hand out for Five.]

My mind is in many places at once Five. Do forgive me if I was indelicate about your kindness.

[ he joins him shortly after, taking his hand and then bringing it to his lip, kissing it before he leans in to kiss Lahabrea's cheek instead ]

Oh, so you are the one in shock after all.

You weren't indelicate. And I do mean it when I say the action soothes me, so. It's as much for me as it is for you.

But I'm here to offer a listening ear as well.

[He smile at the actions and lifts a hand to ruffle Five's hair wetly.]

Not shock. But it was a lot to process. After all. I did pry quite deeply.

And there is the matter of worrying over everyone. It is unfortunate but I've grown fond of many of you. I shall have to check in on a few people. At least I can leave Hades and Vergil in your care in an emergency.

And you can leave me in their care as well, so don't worry too much over myself.

[ he's going to reach for hair product to start with that, pouring it on his hand first and then reaching for Lahabrea's head ]
