[ A hostage is being dangled from a penthouse balcony by a man with an LED on his temple who appears to bleed blue. Toaster manages to get close enough to get a clear shot after building some trust, saving the girl and dropping the hostile off the roof. He leaves dispassionately, passing off the gun to the SWAT team while "Mission Successful" appears. (Relevant video from 5:54 to 7:06.) ]

I'd say that explains some things.

Thank you. It's regrettable that the defective android had to be destroyed, but what matters is that the girl was saved.

It would have been better to analyze it, to find the defect, but I agree. It's best that it's no longer a threat.

Is that so? But I would think that sort of work should be the perfect place for an android. A machine is going to be more logical and less biased than a human, and probably better in a firefight.

You're somewhat correct. Androids do work for the police, doing menial and sometimes dangerous tasks, but as far as I can recall, there are no other androids that would be sent in to such a delicate situation. I'll be interested to learn more.

Police androids aren't usually given that kind of responsibility. Remembering it now, I know I was sent in because I was the best equipped to handle the job, not because I was expendable.
