[ It's starting to feel like he's neglected his MEMORY TAKING duties so, time to get back on schedule, and purchase 4 at once to make up for the time lost. As usual, he can be found in the hotel's lobby.

The first one shows him running some tests on his body, alongside Pogo, and confirm that he's no longer aging.

The second one shows him breaking up with Delores back at home, too, taking her back where she belongs and saying his heartfelt goodbyes.

The third one shows him threatening this poor guy who works at the prosthetics manufacturers company (again)

When they're done, he just looks confused.

Wow, a few things to unpack here.

[Cardinal likes to take memories to clear their mind after dealing with a lot of stuff, so they go ahead and buy one, flopping onto a lobby bench to watch.

In this memory Cardinal appears to be a fugitive in the middle of a tense political crisis. It's implied a few times they're going to be dead at some point in the near future, and they have a very strange, touching conversation with their mortal enemy, and the origin of the strange quote in their profile is revealed.

Afterward, Cardinal as a hand shoved halfway through their hair, suspended in that motion as they stare into the middle distance, lost in though.]

[Who likes dragon flights here's a fun whimsical one where L and her friends reunite a baby dragon with his family while under attack from the kingdom guards and go on a fun dragon flight. Also her little chameleon buddy gets wings and spikes and the ability to breathe fire because in Rapunzel's world being a dragon is contageous if you friendship hard enough.]

[Guess it's memory time. Well, alright, it's been a while, and why not why everything already sucks anyway.

The first is unexciting, but it does make him grimace. This guy. Is just the worst. He hasn't even done anything in any memories so far to warrant this reaction, but it's probably plain to see why Vergil just instinctively hates him so much anyway.

The second has certain implications with how suddenly it ends, and any memory of this time makes him forget to breathe for far too long. But...mostly it's confusing, and that helps ease the terror he inherently feels. Surely he didn't actually die, that wouldn't make sense. So he's just left frowning, trying to sort it out. This would be easier if Dante was around to ask.]

He goes on to speak to a dark-skinned man beside him, outlining the outreach of the proof of innocence of his people that he wishes for.

However, it isn't long before he's ushered away for further duties, brought about the entire Kingdom for an address as their King.

It isn't something that he can understand -- He isn't fit to be their King. He fled from them, became bloodstained and shameful. An aged knight beside him rejects this, telling him that they are of a Kingdom that needs a King, needs a Hero to guide them from the oppression that they have faced.

Despite his unsureness, Horizon tearfully accepts - happy to be home after all this time.

He does not know how to react. ]
