[ What's everyone up to this morning? Still stuck in Hell? Busy doing crimes? Maybe, like some people, you hopped on a train from Vengeance Hell to get over here! Hope you didn't have to give up anything too precious for that.

In any case, however you've ended up here there's still plenty to do. Shopping, restaurants, movie theaters, maybe you can even find a tour bus to make the rounds of some of the other shows being filmed here! ]

[HSS doesn't have any abilities that, like. counter Verticality. so now he is just floating in the air, flailing about kind of ridiculously]

[ he plucks Mars out of the air and unceremoniously tosses him towards the ground, releasing Verticality so gravity is in full effect again. ]

[AAAAND there he goes, slamming face first against the ground, cracking the concrete on impact because, you know. armor]

[but armor means the fall doesn't hurt too much, so Mars is back on his feet within seconds. with a flash of light, his sword appears in his hand]

You wanna go? Then let's go! No cheap shots allowed!

[ SQUARING OFF, ready to spring into action as soon as Mars makes a move. ]

That's rich coming from the guy hiding behind a suit of armor!

Armor isn't a cheap shot, it's using the resources I've been given!

[LUNGES FORWARD, weapon extended, blade pointed right at Man Eater. . . 's shoulder]

[ how nostalgic.

he sidesteps out of the way of that, aiming to kick Mars in the back of the legs as he comes up around his side. not trying to do damage with that hit—suit of armor and all—so much as trip Mars up. ]

[it's not that Mars is rusty, it's just. . . he definitely has no way of countering that. so he winds up tripping, nearly pitching forward to faceplant on the ground. fortunately he catches himself last moment and makes a valid attempt at turning on his heel to face Man Eater again!]

[unfortunately, that's a pretty big opening he just leave his opponent]

[ a big opening that, naturally, Man☆Eater won't let slide.

he lunges forward with a kick while Mars is in the process of catching himself, aiming to hit him square in the chest the moment he turns around. he's pretty determined to knock Mars to the ground again, evidently. ]

[IT'S A PRETTY SOLID HIT, and before Mars knows it? he's stumbling back and crashing back-first onto the ground, wheezing as some of the air is knocked out of him]

[he's down, but not out, and he quickly lashes out at Man Eater's ankles with one foot, trying to trip him. it's a haphazard motion, though. obviously a desperate one]

[ the motion is slapdash enough that Man☆Eater narrowly manages to hop right over it. then he pushes down on Mars' chest with one foot, attempting to keep him pinned there. ]

Could you keep still for one second? I'm trying to say hello.

[and grabs a hold of Man Eater's ankle when he pins him to the ground with one foot]

You're really shitty at saying "hello."

[but he seems THRILLED and he totally yanks against that ankle, trying to upset Man Eater's balance]

[ AAAAND HE STUMBLES FORWARD.

but he at least tries to stomp really hard on Mars' gut while he does. ]

[OOF-- he can feel that one even through the armor. but hey, chancE!!]

[mars is gonna try to straddle man eater and pin him to the ground now]

[ it's enough of an opening that Mars succeeds! Man☆Eater grins defiantly up at Mars from where he's now pinned. ]

[and now that he's here he seems content to just sit on Man Eater's hips and talk to him like EVERYTHING IS NORMAL]
