In any case, however you've ended up here there's still plenty to do. Shopping, restaurants, movie theaters, maybe you can even find a tour bus to make the rounds of some of the other shows being filmed here! ]

I was never on the lam. I got out of prison all officially. Release signed in blood by Exael and everything.

Huh, she must like you. I'd think those types'd prefer other people doing the blood signatures, y'know?

No, actually, I talked to her in her apartment for five minutes afterwards and she definitely disliked me. She told me she wouldn't have agreed to deal with me if she had known me before.

What, you got the nepotism deal or something? Nobody ever said what happened in jail, come to think of it. Kinda got distracted by nobody being left to get broken out.

...Mostly we just banged on bars or wrestled with the fake-angel guards. Or talked to them, but they were pretty apathetic about basically everything and not very forthcoming.

They did give each of us one phone call, though. Talon talked to the big Asshole and I talked to Exael. I asked her for a deal... an information trade, and she agreed and said she'd come pick me up. So we split up when it came to getting out. Doodle was with me—and Man Eater too, when he suddenly showed up. Talon took your unitmate. And everyone else broke out.

Huh... Wonder why you guys ended up in there in the first place. Seems like their magic spell's got some kinks to work out.

The guards were talking about an "escape attempt," so it kind of sounded like they had some... inter-dimensional security system that just missed you guys somehow.

Yeah... But Absinthe told us he got the thing from fake-DadBoss, right? Why give him tech that didn't work?

Well, it clearly did work for you guys.

The way things seem to me now... That Asshole was actually trying to sneak us in to "Heaven," without Exael or her boss knowing. If it only half-worked, that just means he only half succeeded, and her security caught the rest of us as we tried to "escape."

...I have some theories based on that, but... I'd like to hear what you guys saw firsthand, first.

[Looks around for paparazzi, before deciding the open's as good a place as any to hide. Nevertheless, she lowers her voice a bit.]

Back to the great upstairs...seemed like their control room. 'Course everything was on autopilot, so we couldn't do much with it. Then we came to bust you guys out, and ended up here. Guess there was no need, anyways.

I was hoping for a little more detail than that. Req and Intensity both told me some things.

Mm. Exael signed me out of prison officially and then kicked me out of her apartment pretty vehemently, so I'm a free agent now.

Well, I called her. Apparently Hell allows its prisoners one call each. So I asked her if she wanted to make a deal.

She said she would. I said she kicked me out of her apartment, right? Once we actually started talking about it she decided I was too demanding.

...Well, she did say a few interesting things. But she shut down pretty quickly.
