[ What's everyone up to this morning? Still stuck in Hell? Busy doing crimes? Maybe, like some people, you hopped on a train from Vengeance Hell to get over here! Hope you didn't have to give up anything too precious for that.

In any case, however you've ended up here there's still plenty to do. Shopping, restaurants, movie theaters, maybe you can even find a tour bus to make the rounds of some of the other shows being filmed here! ]

Only that it was something from Heaven that destroyed Tokyo-F. Something slipped through the portal he created for us.

How did it seem like he felt about that? Was he surprised?

And furious. I was able to hear his side of the phone conversation he had when he learned of it. His anger appeared genuine to me.

Interesting. Exael also seemed genuinely surprised when she got a text about it... if we believe that, "Heaven" is at the very least a real third party.

I believe it is. When I asked if he knew something sneaking in was a risk, Azzy said "No demon is stupid enough to pick a fight with one prince, let alone two."

It sounds like something got past both him and the Liar.

"No demon"? He wasn't worried about angels?

It sounded more like he thought it had to be anything but a demon when he said it. I took the implication to mean it was an angel, since it was something that slipped through a portal to Heaven.

Do you know what he was trying to accomplish by sending us there in the first place?

Not with any certainty. I suspect he wanted information on how much of Heaven's forces remain...? Or perhaps there's some artifact he was after.

The members of Baritones are the ones he originally gave the mission to, so they are likely the only ones who know what he wanted.

I know. Absinthe came to ask ZRAEL to go on the mission to start with. But he wasn't very forthcoming.

I doubt I will be able to learn his intentions either. He may have an interest in me, but it does not mean he trusts me.

I'm not sure he seems like a "trust" kind of person.

I'm sure he isn't, but he must rely on us for access to Heaven anyway.

That doesn't mean he has to tell us anything real about what's going on as long as there are still people willing to jump when he asks.

[ Rubs a hand over his mouth for a moment, making a sound somewhere between aggravation and resignation ]

Having someone in contact with him who is willing to share anything they learn is still more valuable than none though. I am...still displeased with how my encounter with him went, but I still managed to at least convince him to test me as a regular contact.

Mm. Well, I get the impression vigilantes are his type.

...I tried to call him too, but it didn't work. That might be for the best, though, because I'm not sure I could approach him rationally.

...Do you know anything about which people know what took place in Heaven? Hurricane is an obvious choice, but if there is anyone else...

I'm asking because someone needs to return to the Vengeance Hell to explain what's going on and what the plan is. No one knows anything there, and I... It may be too risky for me to learn everything about what took place to tell them myself.

I'm glad you think that too, because I definitely wasn't going to tell you everything.

...I've talked to Man Eater and Aradia about it, and heard some of what Hurricane and Nemesis saw second-hand from Requiem and Intensity. Though I want to talk to them directly too.

I did agree I'd be careful.

Intensity and Requiem are not options. It would be too risky for them to travel while they're still wanted. I don't think Nemesis trusts me to begin with, and I don't know Man Eater. Aradia is...Aradia...

Hurricane still seems to be the best option from my perspective. ...Or you, I suppose. It sounds like you're speaking with most of them, so you may end up with a more complete story than any of them individually.

He just doesn't have the right attitude for it. ...though I feel the same about many of the people who insisted on staying over there.

Hurricane is a pretty extreme case, though. I'm also not sure he has the right level of skepticism about things...
