[ IT'S A LIVE WITH A NEWBIE ON TRR. She is dressed quite cutely (though in more of an aqua-ish color than the purple) and has a little array of small sandwiches and cups of tea. ]

I apologize for the lack of a proper setting, but I'd like to hold a naming ceremony regardless. Please join me for my first naming celebration as a new member of your community.

Is this really a community?

I haven't offended you by calling it a community, have I?

No. I'm new here too, but I was under the impression it's supposed to be competitive entertainment. Or something.

Oh! I was told it isn't so tense outside of certain circumstances.

I'm sure that's just what they want you to think. And besides, a ceasefire doesn't make a community. Can you really communicate with people you might have to kill tomorrow?

I don't disagree that there's some difficulty in that, and while I'm rather new, I can't say that there's a reason to steep in misery or distrust either. It's a little early for me to say for certain, but in a way, it might be more reassuring to be killed by a friend than by an enemy.

Betrayal's the least reassuring thing I can think of in the world, actually.

If they were my friend I would like to imagine that it wasn't betrayal, but that we both understand the consequences of our actions.

...I don't get it. It's easier to just rely on your unit, isn't it? What's even the point of having friends you "understand" things like that with?

I wouldn't want to dictate how others think, so if you would prefer to approach it that way then we can declare each other enemies or neutral parties. But for myself, if conflict is inevitable then I should try and approach what happiness I can. I think I'm someone who gets happiness from speaking with others.

A celebration of the day you were born. The day you were also named, in most cases. Metaphorically, waking up here is also a sort of birth, isn't it?

In a way, though to be born would be even further back in who we are than right now. Or rather, more helpless? I don't think I could have communicated as clearly as a child.

That's why it's a metaphor.

I'm still deciding. Both 'Lady' and 'Murasaki' have been suggested, but I'm unsure.

Is Lady really a name...?

I thought it sounded more like a title, myself.

It'd be like if I just called myself Queen...
