My name is a way for people to address me and I would hope that not just my faction would address me. I think there are other things I will share with just them, but this doesn't have to be one of them.

...Even if it didn't, a name ought to be something to aspire to. When naming a child, you're making a statement of what you hope for them to become. When you choose a name for yourself, you do the same.
