[ The game tower elevator doors open to a dark expanse, mist hemming in the edges of your vision. The whole scene seems to waver, as if it is not within the bounds of reality but some scene from a dream that will soon dissipate when the light of day comes.

Rather than a host's hologram usual distinct preamble and hologram, instead there is a poorly defined figure seen dimly in the distance. They reach out, and open a door, disappearing inside a house which emerges from the fog as if something sunken revealed, at last, by low tide.

Your phone vibrates: the rules now displayed on the glowing screen, mapping out what you should do from here as you venture into the darkness. ]

how... deep and wide is this pond? is there finagling that needs to be done to cross it?]

[ It appears to be quite deep. She can't see the bottom, just the strange shimmering light. But the pool is not that long. Definitely not swimming pool length. It is no longer than 12 feet long in any direction, but it is long enough that she cannot simply lean over to get to the vines if she desires to climb them ]

[ it's gently warm, but only near the surface. Beneath that, it's definitely definitely getting warmer.

But it also feels... relaxing? Like the water at a white sands beach, or in a natural springs. She could probably ignore the game, if she wished, and take a break in here.

[ That seems like a bad idea but she's already doing it so. ]

Be careful of glass shards in there. And... do you think you could keep an eye out for jewel shards as well...?

[oh, actually, she looks quite bright and energetic once she takes her foot out.

And the water's not bad, but we should find a better way across.

[ Well at least she seems okay... He sighs with relief, more relieved than he would usually be. ]

Well, these crystals have an odd feeling about them. I think I am going to go back and ask a question.

They do? In what way?

And what question are you considering?

The amber ones feel almost like they are charged with electricity... and the amethyst... Ah. It just feels off somehow. They aren't just something shiny for jewelry.

I think someone has to ask what the murder weapon might be. Or the last area it remembers being in. We've no information to work with yet. No real leads.

That said, I do think the crystals fell from the ceiling. Though what they were when together escapes me.

Honestly... whatever's in this water really helped rejuvenate me. I think we should try to grab... whatever it is.

If it made me feel better, maybe it'll do something like, I dunno... Help the vines grow?

Okay... Ah...

[ He pauses in thought, heading for the pond once more. ]

I've longer arms than you. Perhaps I could... reach in and get it?

[ And he just starts rolling up his sleeves then, feeling another pang of fear run through him that was too strong, almost panic, but he swallows it down. ]

[said really quickly]

It's pretty deep. Why don't we try to get some leverage? Maybe with a branch?

[ He's trying to behave but not sure if he should be winning in order to avoid getting hurt. Who knows??? ]

Mh, probably a good idea. I never did practice swimming much.

[after that unsuccessful search, North just sighs.]

I wanna know what that stupid ball is. It's too bad I'm not a--

[a pause]

Oh, right. Hey, can I turn you into a fish? Then you can swim down and grab it.

[ Oh right, WILD CITY. ]

Ah... that's probably a good idea. Can't drown if you're a fish, hm? Alright. I'll need to be something capable of carrying it. Maybe like a large catfish...?

[ It is warmer the deeper she sticks her foot in. Not too warm, but probably not something she'd want to stay in too long. It feels strangely revitalizing. She feels more vital— lively. She has so much energy! Like she just woke up from a nap, refreshed and ready to take on the day. ]

But after stepping out, she's going to focus on the topiary, and see if she can see anything that might float on water?]

[ Nothing seems to float other than the lilypads, but there is clearly something emanating that light and heat and probably that energy she felt beneath the water. ]

[Is there anything that could possibly hook it? Like a... butterfly net, or whatever's kept the water surface clean?]

[ Not in here, not that she can see. She could dive down if she wanted? Possibly she could try and make something, too, using the plants in the room or bring in something from another room. ]

[Oh good idea! Is there a small branch she can break off to hopefully reach the ball? She's going to try and roll it up towards her, so she can hopefully grab it.]

[ The topiary are all neatly kept, with no obvious sticking out branches. The flowers are not woody enough for purposes. She could possibly make a net with the vines, but she'd also have to go get to the vines.

The item also appears to be fairly deep beneath the surface. At least 20 feet down, considering she is unable to see it clearly from the pond's edge ]
