[the Live alert goes off, revealing a certain canid whose fur is splotchy with paint. there is a large canvas that has been rolled onto the floor of the lobby, covered in paw prints. the fox has a paintbrush dangling in his mouth and he very... carefully... .... .....painstakingly ..... paints the words PLEASE COME.

once he's done, he drops the paintbrush on the floor and lets out a playful yelp. pls come!!!!!!!!]

[ gonna start by laying down a night sky, using negative space to indicate some stars and the moon, and from there moves on to laying down the rough structure for a city skyline ]

[walks over to look closer at it, though giving him enough room to work. seems pleased!]

[ The further he gets, the more detailed it starts to become—as much as it can with the bulky brush he's picked out. It's not the skyline of this hell city, but it seems like he's working from memory given the way he pauses from time to time to frown thoughtfully at it.

Eventually going to check the pails for other colors, and to get a smaller brush for detail work. ]

[rolls over onto his side to watch him work, tail thumping against the floor]

[ The city slowly evolves into Gotham, complete with Gotham harbor dotted with a couple of ships and ferries. Where the city and harbor meet, he adds a few streets and a few tiny cars. The buildings get windows and lights in various shades of yellow and blue, and here and there a dot of red on a radio tower.

And of course, the final touches are a few shadowy figures, one in black, and one in bright traffic light colors, bounding across the rooftops. ]

You should do one of these again when you're a person. It would be nice to actually speak with another artist.

[ He's been told about the artist named Fox on Taisho often enough that he had his suspicions, but the confirmation helps anyway. ]

From the tea ceremony, right? I hadn't realized you were also an artist then.
