Who: Some drunken loon
Where: Lobby
When: Day 112, shortly after Maki's live
[ Have you had enough lives yet, Imeeji? No? Good because when this live alert goes off, it features Sunshine in the lobby. He's standing a few feet away from a whiteboard that has a series of stickers (WC, AG, BEDE, BT, PP, HSS, LL, TRR, ⭐, AM, SIV, FIN) pasted at its very top. He is also holding an almost empty bottle and there's a bit of an odd limp to his gait.
He starts off with tapping the mouth of the bottle against the board, slurring his words very badly. Calling him drunk would be an understatement. ]
Nnnngh, how did I start thing thing again... ? Oh right. Big picture. Everyone needs to stop being Assholes to each other 'cuz you're missing the big picture. What picture, right? Not these yet. [ He taps in the general direction of the stickers. ] We'll get to these. The fact is most of these games are mathematically engineered to produce the maximum amount of casualties. Mathematically. Let's look at some Numbers!
So we start with these guys. You Probably know what they are but just in case. [ Tapping the bottle against each sticker in turn and going down the list with his usual furries, punks, wizards, goths, knights, heroes, scientists, bartenders, healers, nobles... ] and then there's the flower children (that's what we're calling them right?) and this us we're the school kids I can't think of anything better than that so that's what I'm going with. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. [ Draws a big 12 in the center of the board ] Twelve. Remember that number. It's important. For math. I'm really bad at math, just throwing that out here in advance. Cobalt knows math.
So there's twelve of us. But when each of us is in a game, each of us is looking at 11. [ Scripts an uneven 11 underneath the 12 ] Eleven choices. Now that's not so bad. Except that each us is made up of other Usses, right? Units aren't one person. They're lots of persons. Like 6 or 7 sometimes.
Let's say we've got a big unit and each person has a person they totally love off-team. And the unit can't go after this person because it's like IF THEY DIE I'LL KILL MYSELF AND EVERYONE IN THIS ROOM. And that's bad. Nobody wants that. Which means your 11 choices are now closer to like 5 or 4. [ Draws 5 OR 4 off to the side somewhere. ] That sounds right.
[ It basically goes on like this for a while where Sunshine tries to very messily explain various game scenarios that involve different stick figures, circles with horns on them ("but the producers are the biggest asshats in existence"), emotional faces and lots of erasing numbers and putting up new ones that basically get everything to a huge 0. Honestly, the whole thing is practically incomprehensible. ]
So it all sucks, right? And you're all like no fucking duh, Sunshine, we already knew that. Shut up, you insensitive drunken asshole. And you'd be mostly right! But, but I have a sssolution. Maybe. Let's go back to our original twelve. Remember these guys? [ Circles all the stickers ] I like the Wild City one 'cuz it's a cat. That's not important! What I'm trying to say is 12 is an Even Number.
What we want to do is buddy up so everyone has one guaranteed protector. That's nice, right? Having one guaranteed protector might make us all feel a little safer so we don't go Bonkers. It's not a perfect solution. Math sucks. But it gives some Balance. And then we have to figure out the rest.
In conclusion, don't do drugs, don't be an asshole and ALLY UP!
[ Raises his bottle and immediately loses his balance, crashing backward into the white board and cutting off the live. He might be unconscious, who knows? ]
