I was the only representative from my unit for most of that game, so I felt I had to make some sort of spectacle to make up for it.

BARiTONES saved Future is Now in a previous game. And I'd hate for our strategy of adding one to a previous bid to stay in the game to sully that foundation.

Oh, there's no hurt feelings over that. I understand it was simply part of a strategy. You needn't worry about any burnt bridges in that regard.

They only like playing with people that actually fight back. And your unit certainly seems to fit that mold.

Unless one of your unitmates has somehow wronged one of them.

Well, the issue with the latter theory there is I'm fairly new. And our emperor -- ah, Eichi -- he didn't seem to have a clue as to what we could have done to earn their wrath.

So, should I go on and assume it's the former?

I suppose I won't know the answer unless I ask them myself. And as they are at the moment, they're a little ... well, clueless.

Oh, I'm sure they'd be informed somehow even if I weren't to tell them. But I do worry I'll get a split reception.

I'd say more along the lines of something else awful will happen and unless you continue the feud, you'll be more of a back-burning hatred.
