I think this is the most information we've gotten at once...

I'd say the Exael visit had similar payout.

But the rift also had much more significant turnout.

Amazing that there were that many people up in the middle of the night. Though not surprising, I guess.

Uh, the nightmares? Mostly. The insomnia, sometimes.

...Do we have any idea what Hell's goal is, 'cause it feels like every time we find out more we just get more questions than answers.

Asmodeus's goal is to have people graduate and take Hell's wish so he can get more demon minions. Apparently Vengeance pawns don't last for very long.

As for the Pythia and the rest of the organization --- I haven't a fucking clue.

Huh. I guess that makes sense.

I just always wondered why there's even the option to take Heaven's graduation. The angel said there's no way Heaven would play along with Hell's game, but they've been asleep for gods know how long so they may just be out of the loop.

One theory is it's not really Heaven's graduation and all of that is a smokescreen provided by Pythia's faction. It's just Hell sending you back to a world that's already been taken over by Hell. So of course it would be in their power to make it look like you were returning home safe and sound.

Why Pythia would choose to represent that specific farce, though, doesn't make much sense.

That's what King thought, too. The thing that puts a dent in it is that it seems like it's more than a coincidence that the tear opened up not long after E graduated via Heaven. 'Heaven opens for the ascended' or something like that?

I've thought that Pythia's faction may actually be representing Heaven or doing things on Heaven's behalf in some way, but that's assuming that Heaven is in on the arrangement. Even if it's just what's left of them at this point.

What if Pythia used to be an angel? Or someone in her faction.

...That could explain why Heaven appears to be a legitimate choice for graduation.

Some of the dead bodies in Azzy's realm had the faint outline of wings. And if God did betray them - that's probably enough for at least one of them to turn and ask for aid from the Prince of Vengeance.

That makes sense. And perhaps some of the angels decided it was better to play the game for their goals after whatever happened to 'God' if we assume Pythia or her faction has former angels.

That is one possible theory.

One that we're unable to prove either way at this point.

Honestly, I wish we could actually confirm how true or not any theories are, but for now this is what we have to work with.

Find someone who can make holy water so we can work on contacting the angel again.

Or find holy ground. Whichever you think is easier.
