THE BASICS

Characters playing this game receive a title that isn't theirs, and once they get it they start manifesting characteristics of their brand-new title. It floats tangibly above their head, and is visible to everyone.

Interpret titles however you want, and have fun! XL did a illustrated guide way back when, but basically play it how you want! Powers granted by titles are A-okay for the purposes of this game! For example, if you want to have your character constantly dripping with water because they got the title of "wet blanket", feel free.

TRADING & THEFT

Titles hang in the air, physically existing and able to be traded or stolen. You can yank your title out of the way of being stolen, but people can sneak up on you or team up on your to take it, too! You can trade titles with your own unit as you wish.

You can rearrange your titles, fuse them together, etc! You can break off part of someone else's title to add it to your own!

If your title is stolen and you don't have another one in reserve, please look at this doc and grab an untaken one, and delete it from the list when you're done.

If you are signing up late, dump your title in the extra titles doc, and grab one from that list!

HOW DO I WIN THE GAME

Keep track of all your titles over the course of the game and then, when you're done playing, post the list in the turn in

Comment here with the progression that your title went through (if it has not changed at all, document that as well).

Deadline is 12 PM MIDNIGHT PST on the 15th.

And true to form, he's sparkling, and butterflies are materializing from ??? somewhere and landing on him in a veritable locust swarm. Attempts to swat them away just lead to EVEN MORE appearing and landing on him with increasing aggressiveness.

[ Nya's title reads Noisy Goth and he might just have on makeup that is a little heavier than usual. ]

UGH. THIS GAME SEEMS ANNOYING, BUT AT LEAST IT'S NOT MURDER THIS TIME.

[ sporting her usual clothes but an unusual look today-- scaled hands and a long spiny black tail and black bat-like wings, and a pair of horns growing out of her head.

Her title above says Dragon in Distress and honestly yeah she looks pretty distressed, rubbing the scales on her hands as if that'd rid her of them and looking around with a bit of a panic. ]

["The Little Mermaid" hangs over her head, and though she's NOT an actual tiny mermaid flopping on the floor, because that would be hard to play, she's dressed in a long, elegant mermaid skirt with a shimmery shell brassiere that's simply tied around her torso.

she shuffles around, struggling a little with this get up because it turns out the skirt is tighter around the ankles.]

I wonder if I can destroy this outfit... but what would I have left?

[ It has been all of 30 seconds and Talon has already snapped his title into pieces to get rid of the shitty portion, leaving only Little Brother in place over his his head. Of course, this means he is not just a normal little brother. Apparently. The only obvious difference is that he no longer has resting scowl face, so at least he looks approachable now?? ]

I could 'bet' that I can steal your title, but it's not much fun to bet on a sure thing.

as is he's instead going to look for something to climb if you're tall it may be you]

[The title Feed the Void probably explains why it looks like he's been painted with a paintbrush dipped in a child's idea of a black hole: a deep, endless inky black, beset with actual stars.]

[Possibly also, it explains why he's munching his way through the flowers on the tables. And the chairs. And probably also through part of your title, if you get close enough for him to grab it.]
