HSS Celebrates The Lunar New Year (a little late)

[ Heart Soldier Senshi's dorm has been completely redecorated today. Stepping off the elevator and onto the eleventh floor, you'll immediately find yourself greeted by rows of red-and-gold paper lanterns dangling from the ceiling and strings of colorful holiday lights set at the edges of the hallway. They light the way to the open doors, and inside yet more lanterns and twinkling lights festoon the the ceilings. Here, too, the walls have been lined with paper depictions of cranes, dragons, magpies, and the sun, a world of scarlet and gold. Underneath all this, the main table has been set with a crimson tablecloth and on top of that, plate after plate of traditional foods have been set out for guests to take from buffet style.

The bedrooms, too, are open-doored and emptied** of their usual furniture. Instead, they've been filled with chairs and tables obviously procured from the lobby downstairs and identically decorated for the occasion. Guests will find they can easily intermingle between the rooms to visit with their hosts and the other guests as well as eat. At each place-setting, guests will find confetti poppers, mini sparklers, and colorful squares of paper and tacks for guests to write a wish to hang on the long string that spans the back wall.

And for those people finished eating and looking for something fun to do, the arcade room is open and available with a whole host of games for competitive play. ]

[His strength isn't fully there yet but he's definitely on the mend and no longer has a fever!]

I'm feeling a lot better than before. So I'm grateful and happy to visit here on such an occasion today.

I don't know much about the Lunar New Year, but I'm down for an excuse for a party.

[backstory]

No better time then to learn now.

[But Levi very much doesn't mind celebrations either. It's good finally getting away from the apartment, too.]

Do you know anything about it?

[backstory]

[He nods with a touch of excitement. Because this is one of the few times where he seems to know what something is that another person might not know.]

It's generally just a celebration of the new year, where people pray for good blessings in the future and eat various foods.

I don't have any specific memories of it, it's only that I realize what the concept is. My master showed me her own memories regarding the celebration, too.

Oh, so not much different than the version I know then. We usually pop champagne bottles and drop a ball or something. I think there's fireworks too.

You drop a ball?

[What a strange custom.]

Do you know Hiryuu?

Yeah, I don't remember much about it. But I remember that part was important. The ball drops at exactly midnight and that's how everyone knows it's the new year.

Well, this is her unit.

True enough.

[Most people should know her anyhow because she is wonderful and the best, and--]

I know her as Princess Yona. She is my master back within our own world. I travel with her along with Abi and Raijuu.

What does that mean though? Master? Mentor? Liege?

[ Will be good and not bring up the other option in HSS presence... ]

[backstory]

She is the descendant [Reincarnation...but he doesn't know that right now.] of the Red Dragon God, Hiryuu. A long time ago, Hiryuu descended upon the kingdom of Kouka and took up a human form to rule and live among the people there. However, there were many wicked individuals who intended to use and harm the king. As a result, four dragon gods bestowed upon individuals their powers in order to protect their friend who no longer possessed the power of the dragon gods.

[He lifts his claw up to his chest]

The power of the White Dragon flows within my own body, and it is my duty to protect and love my master, Hiryuu. We follow her out of love and devotion and carry on the legacy that has been passed down within our bloodlines for thousands of years.

[ Sunshine seems to be listening intently until Levi gets to the part of the gods bestowing their powers. Then, his gaze goes slightly vacant and hazy, as if he's somewhere else, listening to someone else speak...

"You're the only ones who can protect them. You must find them before he does." ]

[backstory]

[The fact that he suddenly seems lost in thought isn't lost on Leviathan. He pauses, and then after a moment...]

Is everything alright, Sunshine?

[malignstar]

[ He gives his head a sharp shake ]

Huh? What?

[backstory]

You seemed unwell for a second. Or as though your mind was somewhere else.

[malignstar]

It's nothing. Just something still lost to my memories I guess.

[backstory]

I hope it returns to you at some point, then. Our lack of memories can be quite frustrating at times.

I get blurry flashes from time to time. It's annoying.
