the dragon spots Santa fairly easily and visibly tenses. With a flap of its wings it launches itself onto a neighboring high rise. It climbs, a story with each step, talons digging into steel like it was punching staples through paper. It increases the distance between itself and the tiny robot below step for step, long tufted tail swishing as it goes, until it reaches out a mid-point of the building, and then stops, swiveling its horned head on its long neck to look back down at its pursuer. ]
