[ Because that's how she met him. ]
[ Aether's question earned a frown as she tucked her arms across her chest. She thinks about it a moment before rolling her eyes grumpily. ]
Tsukasa called me prehistoric. If that gives you any idea.
[ Said simply in explanation. She's not ashamed to admit she doesn't know most of what people are talking about or had the word for city, it's just
overwhelingannoying. ]no subject
[ way to make a smashing first impression tsukasa, wow. ]
Prehistoric... that sounds like something stupid he would say. Anyway, don't listen to him. It's actually not unusual at all. Most people learned about it when they got here, even if they don't act that way now.

[ Your guess is as good as hers though, Aether. She's doing her best to not think too much about it since everything's a lot - ]
Learned about what, exactly...? The whole "idol" thing? Because it's way more than that.

[ She sounds less than impressed by the idea as she nods, ]
That's just some of it.

—Oh, they told you about uh ... gray syndrome or whatever, right?

[ She supplied simply, clipped. Even if she spent the night up in Avante's training room breaking targets she's not going to tell him that. Especially not when he's a unitmate of the person who's a big factor in the breaking targets thing -
She rolls her shoulder. ]
If you mean what happens when you don't stick around your dorm enough, yeah. But I wasn't exactly planning on running off somewhere I don't know. That's what gets you killed.
[ maybe... later. who knows. ]

Yeah! That's it. I'm glad to hear it. So, what's your favorite food?
no subject
I haven't exactly thought much about it. My impression of food is mostly just something you eat for sustainability.
[ Because Berk food was tough and tasteless. She's experienced more in the past day here, but! She still wouldn't know what was a favorite food. She does ask, not really meaning to be rude, but it may come off as such: ]
Do you often think with your stomach?
[ he's! Talked about food a lot, this seems a fair question. ]
no subject
Yeah, sorry, it's out of habit. Usually it's someone else's stomach, technically. The friend I traveled with was always very much into food.
Also, it's usually what I would call a "safe topic."

[ She gets it, but also talking about food seems a bit of a weird topic to her - at least in terms of this place, her newness, and her lack of understanding of its pallet. ]
Oh, I don't know asking someone if their favorite tactics are the surprise approach or the direct approach can be pretty safe. And telling. Or their favorite kind of weapon.
[ ...She has her priorities. ]

[ aether smiling and just switching topic gears like they're pretty much the same thing. To him, they are. She officially has given him an idea of what she likes. ]

I don't know yet. Not a sword.
