I'll have to get my memories back in order to use it at full efficiency, but it will be an excellent space to study. It might also help you with your weapons - you did say you try to achieve different effects for them, didn't you?

Oh my gods, I just realized its been forever since I could actually just talk nerd with someone. [Listen, it is what it is.] I've been able to ramble plenty, but not many people could make a lot of suggestions for the wilder stuff I try to make happen.

To be honest, your memories may not necessarily limit that much. How thorough the memory loss can be varies, but I've found anything that wasn't...

Emotionally important for a skill, I could remember. Like I could remember all sorts of dragon facts, except when it came to Night Furies. My partner is a Night Fury, so anything about them was emotionally important, but other dragons, facts just took focusing on them to recall.

Same with other skills, the trick is just getting your mind to think on that track and it can be surprising how much you recall.

Caeli did mention something similar. But I can't imagine I will be able to perform to satisfactory levels regardless. Ah, though I do think that my standards are quite high.

When I think about it, what I want to create ... is life itself. And I do not have the skills for it now.

That's the pinnacle of creation after all. Something like restoring a long lost extinct species of plant or flower, studying its properties as if they had bloomed just today. Or again, an animal that is no longer walking the earth.

The practical uses are near limitless, and it's great study material besides.

Yeah. Yeah. Just. There were a number of dragon species hunted almost to extinction. They're not extinct yet, but you can only breed a small population of any creature so much before things get weird. And that's if there's even a mateable pair left.

Well, when it comes to creating life, odds are its either healer personality orientated, or incredibly sad.

Potentially both.

Or a god complex, but you don't seem quite arrogant enough for that.

I wouldn't discard god complex quite yet. I am without memories and as it stands any of that could be an option.

Though with that said, I think I'd like it if I could help you with your world situation.

[Rye considers him for a long moment.] If that's the answer, those memories are going to be pretty wild. That isn't something that's going to come easily.

[People are exhausting. People can be difficult. But he trusts his judge of character and he doesn't see it in Pretzel.]

It would be nice. There are some amazing dragon species. And one of the species is potentially a great source of medicine. Its saliva after eating certain herbs is the only known cure for a disease with an almost hundred percent mortality rate, let alone what else it could help. [Also Toothless.]

Not sure how much I'll be able to help that kind of research. I'm a genius in my world, but that is wildly out of anything I've got experience in. Pretty sure the medical stuff I know doesn't even come close.

Mmm ... I can see how such a species would be a boon not just for you, but for the world at large as well. If its saliva can provide such incredible healing, dying from an injury would be a thing of the past.

Provided that you don't die instantly, at least.

For now, all this is just a theory and feeling for me as well. But if it's anything more concrete than just a dream, then it would be nice. I'm almost done collecting enough points for my last 3 abilities, after that, I can focus on memories.

It is usually that instantly thing. Vikings try really hard to avoid dying from wounds after a battle. No one wants to pass up on Valhalla, so you need to die in battle or not at all.

Leads to a lot of amputations to avoid dying from infection, but if we had better medicine, there could at least be less of that. Not that its always avoidable, but not every limb gets half chomped off by a dragon.

You're from Caeli's world. There is some....real wild things there. Magic. Gods you talk to. Also your dragons are this amazing magic thing that is still really weird to hear about. So I could see it as being possible there.

Man, today is just 'how the newbies and I are similar' day.

To be fair, four of my abilities were bought by a senior member. Three because there was an invasion of Tokyo-F from imps and ogres and I had already proven a tendency to run into danger, but still.

I also told him I'd pay him back and it took several months before I got him to just accept the points.
