[ snorts. ] Do you expect me to splurge like this often?

No, not quite. Maybe if I manage to be an actual challenge next time.

[ smirks, turning to face him. ] You'll fight me again? [ his tails subtly start to move. ] I wouldn't mind seeing how you've improved since the last time, especially with all your abilities.

I'm close to getting enough points for them. We can fight again once I do.

Not interested in indulging me before then? You have enough abilities, don't you?

Wouldn't it be more efficient if we waited? It won't be too different from last time otherwise.

[childeishly]

Not true. I doubt it would be a repeat of last time, unless you try the same tactics on me, in which case you'd simply prove you've learned nothing and done no training between then and now. A new ability isn't really going to turn the tides of battle if you have no idea how to use it, so it may no do much of anything besides... and some are not really even made for the kinds of things we're doing. Like Evolution. I'm not killing you, and visa versa.

[ he pauses as he thinks about it. Childe is right, and to be honest, he would like to test his skills and make sure he won't be a hindrance in the future.

We should schedule regular training sessions, then.

I would consider starting to take memories even if I haven't finished my abilities quite yet. You did mention not all of them are equally helpful. But admittedly I would prefer to be done with them, just in case.

If we end up in a situation that requires fighting ... I want to be certain I have every tool at my disposal.

Let me know when is best for you. I can make sure my schedule's open, and we can fight in the Golden House. [ using the simulator, so they don't always have to maul each other. ] We'll have to plan some more Lives then, perhaps with the rest of the unit, I'm sure they wouldn't mind getting involved.

Mm, that makes sense, it's definitely a load off your back to not have to worry about buying them anymore, and then you can focus on other things like memories, weapons, and dorm upgrades.
