What is a Persona?

It's... pieces of yourself given form and power? I'm not entirely clear on the concept yet, but I felt like I understood it pretty well back then.

Several things.... Mostly, I'm still not sure about any of this setup. "You wake up with amnesia, but can buy back your own memories." ....It seems to convenient, somehow.

[ He tilts his head at Nine-Nine. ]

....My hand feels... empty. Like something's supposed to be there but it's not. I keep wanting to do... something. Reach for something? But I don't know what it is.
