This was like, the easiest healing I've had to do in a while. While you guys were all having a murderfest, I was playing games with Freya and Persephone, so I'm ready to do some work!

[ opens his mouth as though to protest, before closing it

[Gently pressing his hands up against Lucifel's back (avoiding the wings) to push him out of the kitchen.]

I heard the broad strokes, but nothing about how sensitIV played, other than... "enough to win" apparently.

[ . . . huffs a little, quiet for a moment ]

One person was made the "heart" of the unit, whose continued life anchored our sanity. The rest of us were given the ability to turn into monsters, but with it—we were cursed with an insatiable hunger.

No food was provided. Instead, it was incumbent on us to—target, fight, kill, and find sustenance in individuals in other units.

There were three rounds, with a sort of intermission period in between each round, wherein we were ushered into one large space with other units.

. . . sensitIV did not do well to slake our hunger. Moreover, Venti-san was partaken of during the first intermission.

That we won at all . . . I can only surmise it was due to how many battles Eirene-san and Nyx-san fought and won.

Eirene cried when I first found her. I wasn't really expecting it.

If she and Nyx did the bulk of the fighting, what happened with you?

[ his throat tightens, gaze cast to the ground ]

I did not do anything, in particular.

Does the teacup not mourn its loss of use, when its porcelain has cracked and its luster has faded? When its shape has fractured so prominently as to be useless, even as an ornament? Even should it retain its general shape, how could it dare hope to be displayed?

Yet, what use is it afterwards? Its purpose, born in fire, cannot be reforged—for it cannot regain its malleable nature once it has entered the kiln. Wherefore does it still exist then, besides to give refuge to dust?

You aren't a teacup - you're a person. A person who's been watching over this unit from day one.

Besides that - if your favorite old teacup's on the verge of destruction, wouldn't you want to spare it a little to preserve it and ensure you could enjoy it even a little longer?

sighs a little, scrubbing his face ]

It's not like we're going to throw you out if you aren't constantly productive for our sakes. If the others could get a win by their power - that just means we're acting as your unitmates and helping take some of the burden off of you.
