[Whatever Alisaie's been doing since Lupine saw her last, it involves a horse. She's leading it by the reins, and stops short when she sees him.]

And it's insult to injury to charge us for the privilege.

Some of the ones I've gotten back are okay. [ Lips quirk a little. ] ...And that last one wasn't — a surprise, or anything.

[ ...But, again. He's clearly distracted by the horse. Talking, apparently, directly to it: ]

Hey, there. [ Offering up his hand in a loose fist for sniffing. ] Can I pet you?

[ He likes animals, okay. ]

[She smiles up at the horse as it leans down to sniff at Lupine's hand.]

We should go riding together, some time. It's always so much nicer to do these things with friends. And I don't think many of us bother with the riding club, so the horses must be a little bored, poor things. Personally, I like them.

[Let's stick to horse talk for now. The memory isn't going anywhere.]

[ Memories will always keep. ] [ He rubs the horse's nose gently, long smooth soothing strokes, ready the whole time for it (her, apparently) to indicate displeasure, but the petting seems to go over well. ]

Oh, this is a horse. [ Blink, then he chuckles. ] I both did and didn't know that. [ Glancing around, wishing they were nearer to one of the parks instead of at the waterfront. He'd like to give her an apple. ] First time seeing one in person.

[ Tilts his head to one side, considering the saddle, then gives Ali a grin. ]

I'd like that, I think. Didn't even know we had a riding club here.

They're something of a novelty for me, too. Oh, we have them, but they're far more common in Doma than they are where I'm from.

[She pats the horse's neck.]

I'm not quite sure why we have a riding club, I admit. But it's in the park - Yoyogi, I believe, but I'm probably pronouncing that wrong. Anyway, it's only twenty minutes' walk from the hotel. Here.

[She reaches into a saddlebag, and draws out a carrot.]

You can feed her, if you like. We've been out for a while, so I thought she'd appreciate some snacks, too.

I'll have to ask Tsukasa. But yes, Doma's a country. Somewhere to the east of mine own, if I'm recalling things correctly. I'd draw you a map, or - well, half a map, probably, but I'm really no artist, I'm afraid.

Heh, I know what you mean. I'm starting to get kind of this... very rough picture of things on my world, but it was really inconsiderate of the producers not to send us atlases in the mail.
