[It's honestly really hard playing dumb like this. Is it lying when all she wants is her mother to be able to go at her own pace and remember on her own? It's really not so different to Kaname.]

[Can they be friends when she's lying to her? When she came here, they had started as friends and it changed when she remembered who her parents were. What would her father do?]

Have you been able to take any memories yet?

Well, not yet. Mostly, I've been trying to figure out as much information about this place as I can. I should though. Just a little peek into the past.

Taking things at your own pace has its merits too.

Some things you end up learning could make you have more questions. I think its that way for everyone.

I can only imagine. Especially if it's just a sliver, huh. Imagine getting to the climax of a movie and it just cutting out! I'm sure that's got to be frustrating.

Just... don't be discouraged if you end up learning anything troublesome in the future, okay?

[She can think of a few off the top of her head - like her father pointing a gun at her or learning about her own death. She doesn't want that. She wants her to be happy, which is why she keeps that connection cut off, leaving only herself to ache like she has a phantom limb.]
