i love the smell of BE=DE in the morning
Who: BAD END=DEAD END & you
Where: far enough away that the hotel is safe, close enough to be heard
When: Day 434, afternoon
[Wherever you are, your phone buzzes with the notification for a Live. Should you check the broadcast, it's just an overhead view of some anonymous building in the city. The roof is covered with a few mysterious dark boxes, as well as words spray-painted in red:
. . . Just as every single box EXPLODES with a very audible series of booms, throwing masses of brightly-colored paint splattering all over the remainder of the building, all the surrounding buildings and road, and probably any passersby within a couple blocks, too.
Also, the explosions collapse the entire roof and top floor of the building, sending paint-splattered rubble flying to the ground as well. Watch out!
The broadcast then helpfully zooms in on the paint-splattered culprits of this mayhem—the entirety of BAD END=DEAD END, who didn't quite manage to outrun their crimes.]
* * *
[If, for some reason, you don't check the broadcast—perhaps because you have more important things to do than watch every live that happens in this godforsaken city—then your day is interrupted by a series of distant, but very loud, explosions. Maybe you should check that out?]

Okay, well.
[ H, holding the phone up, he opens the camera app where Sakura can hopefully see it, then angles the phone around to point at a building and. takes a photo? ] [ Then shows Sakura the photo? ]
Cameras can... make a copy? Of what you're looking at. Like a drawing, but a lot faster, and more — accurate, usually, probably.

Re: COUNTERLIVE: photography
Well, I mean. ...Depends what you're taking photos of.
Re: COUNTERLIVE: photography
Re: COUNTERLIVE: photography
Okay, so. You could take photos of people you care about — or photos of a special day or event... to remember them.

Re: COUNTERLIVE: photography
Mortals, and immortals from your world who... erode, right?

Re: COUNTERLIVE: photography
They're also useful for stuff like... showing someone else a photo of something they've never seen because they weren't there. Like a butterfly that's... gone extinct.

Re: COUNTERLIVE: photography
Actually, being able to take photos like this came in super handy during one of those dream worlds. I mean, in most of them, the phones didn't work at all, but for that one we were able to split up and then send each other photos of the things we were finding.

Re: COUNTERLIVE: photography
Yeah! It made it way easier to coordinate and share information.
[ He doesn't technically know this, but in particular the group photos helped Alizarin get through to Nemesis because she had the weight of all the evidence on her side, as well as photos of things Nemesis wanted to believe couldn't be true. ]
