[raven is having a pleasant dream, for once. he's sitting on the edge of a grassy cliff, legs dangling over the edge, as he gazes up at the vast night sky full of stars and comets that twinkle overhead. the air is chilled, but raven has a warm blanket wrapped around himself]

Of plagues, of dearths, or seasons' quality;

It did not. It's one thing to have a son who's already an adult, it's another thing entirely to be taking care of a... baby that's shaped like an egg.

[He tries to make it a bit better by holding his wings out. Not quite wrapping them around them, but more or less blocking any wind.]

Because I'm powerless in comparison? Well... I'd be lying if I said it didn't bother me sometimes. But I have my own kind of power. And I also know how you've fought to maintain your power... and I've seen how you use it to protect those you cherish. I can't begrudge you for that.

Not quite what I mean, no, because I cut you out for the sake of it. ...And I am not sure when you would have seen me protect anyone effectively.
