[ After a long, long, long night, you wake in the dead zone, having slept more deeply than you've ever slept before.

Perhaps more restfully than you've ever slept before, even—do you remember your dreams? Is it all coming back to you, now?

For certain dreamers, the flower markings have disappeared, though if you wake early enough you can catch them glowing bright before burning away painlessly. With that, it feels as though maybe a weight's been lifted off your shoulders—maybe you really needed that sleep.

For certain dreamers, you may find yourself waking up with something new—was that always in your hands? Where did you get that from? Do you remember?

And, for a certain few unlucky dreamers, you may find yourself waking with pain, wounds or scars that remind you that what happened last night was not entirely a dream.

But then, who could ever believe it was a dream anyway?

The sun shines bright; Heaven's chain shines brighter. In the distance, white clouds roll toward the city, threatening rain.

[ she presses gingerly at the wound beneath the blood staining her hair. ]

--Wait. I was with Jason and Rye. Have you seen them? And where's Kohime? You didn't say if she was okay.

[adorabilities]

[a frown at the mention of Jason and then--]

I-- haven't. And... she ran away. I. I should really talk to her, but this whole day's been so much and--..

[she reaches up to rub her face]

... I can help you find them?

Hold on. What happened to you? There was a-- a coffin [ her voice catches on the word ] and then this place with a pit and some crazy guy...I ran into Jason and Rye but no one else.

[adorabilities]

A coffin...? I didn't see that...

[she looks a little confused, and then shakes her head slowly--]

I. [a brief pause as she struggles to explain] We were inside people's hearts. I feel like I was in so many.

[dumbjockenergy]

I was only in Jason's, I think...? It was--

[ she bites her lip and shuts rights up. ]

We should- We need to go somewhere and regroup. Then we can figure it out.

[adorabilities]

[oh. that bad. Adora nods.]

Yeah. Y-yeah, that... sounds like a good idea.

[she desperately wants out of her soaked, bloody clothes.]

[dumbjockenergy]

Would you rather go to Heart?

[ Arya hasn't been there just yet. ]

[adorabilities]

[she looks down at her clothes-- and then nods.]

Y-yeah. I would.

[besides, they can both use heart's training room]

Okay. I'm going to need your help walking.

[ she looks ready to topple over. ]

Here, lean on me.

[she offers her shoulder for Arya]

What-- happened...? [and why wasn't it healed]

We should grab a sensitIV.

[dumbjockenergy]

[ as she takes the support, Arya can't stop herself from leaning more into Aster than she planned. outside of the dream, the injuries feel far worse. ]

I- [ a sigh. ] Some crazy guy with a crowbar got the drop on me. I'll be fine.

[adorabilities]

... You know there's nothing wrong with-- with getting healed, right?

[ it hurts like hell, of course it does. her entire head is throbbing with pain and that's only the start of it. head wounds are no joke.

still, some part of her can't help but feel like she deserves it for allowing herself to be taken so completely off guard. ]

It can wait until we're out of here, at least.

[adorabilities]

[she just pauses, a thoughtful consideration and then,]

This... is probably one of the differences between us, huh.

[dumbjockenergy]

[ she falls silent as they walk, aside from the occasional muffled hiss of pain from her head.

I couldn't do a single thing. Not when I woke up in the dream and not when I was attacked. I wasn't able to fight back at all.

[adorabilities]

[as she talks, Adora is sending an Aibou to go get a sensitiv to meet them at the hotel, rather than manage her cell phone.]

I-- I'm sorry.

[she pauses, considering.]

They... weren't all like that. But there were some that were worse than others. [she pauses] And... I guess... I didn't do as well as I should've in all of them.

[obviously.]
