he might look like he only just had his coffee fix this morning, so still a bit on the drowsy side but getting more awake.]

Would either of you like some?
no subject
...Sure.
no subject
[also. canned. coffee. why.]
no subject
There's plenty here if you change your mind.

[she takes it. at least it gives her something to do with her hands as she tries to decide what to say]
...So... I think you guys left off with some misunderstandings. For now... hold back your grudges and try not to think about who's right or wrong. Just be clear with each other. We'll work out what to do with that later.
no subject
All right.

[And then he just sits there awkwardly]
no subject
...A, you didn't tell Boss something, before.
no subject
He had that option, to be fair.
no subject
...That was spiteful of me.

[i mean also he was possessed and crazy but literally what they crazy-talked each other about]
Pretending you don't know why you did it at this point is just... redundant. And kind of pointless.
no subject
Besides, I'm not pretending anything. Maybe it's easy for you to assume I'm working for Shido for nothing more than my own selfish gain, but I refuse to believe that.
no subject
I agree, he's not pretending. There's still a lot both of you don't know about the past, and you don't even know what he was thinking for as much as you do know. Don't make assumptions.
no subject
But the obvious answer is he did do it on Shido's orders. There's no other way for that much law enforcement to have been involved otherwise. So you'll excuse me when I point out that saying "whatever those purposes may have been" over that is bullshit.
You wanted me to be clear. I'm being clear.
[and focusing in on A again:]
Whatever the case beyond that, is a moot point for me, personally. Whatever anger I had about it, I took it out at the end of that game. If you have your own problems about why you would follow Shido in the first place, you need to sort that out for yourself. Not keep assuming I'm thinking the worst of you.

no subject
It's clearly not a moot point just because you slit his throat. It's not something he needs to sort out for himself. You clearly still have your own idea of his reasons for following Shido, and they're clearly still influencing the way you think of him. The fact that he doesn't know why he did it is still influencing his view of himself.
And you thought he still looked down on you for being a criminal, despite everything, so don't act like you've got a totally unbiased perspective on the situation.
And don't accuse him of lying. You're both here to try your best.
no subject
[not slit his throat.
but holding up his hands in surrender, not arguing.]
