Cardigan is doing the voice over and panning over Avante hanging out in the park. Laid out neatly on the grass appear to be a lot of various weapons.

Besides an assortment of practice swords, daggers, staves, morningstars, whips, etc there are some stranger devices like the mancatcher, an urumi (whip sword; video link), or the tessen (war fan). No guns besides some pellet guns and no bows or crossbows. Yes, there's a buster sword.]


We dragged out everything we could find. Anyone who wants to hit each other with sticks can meet us in the park.

[Nothing is lethal. All of the bladed weapons are made for practice, nothing with a real edge or point on it.

Avantes will be around sparring with each other and for general sparring purposes.]

[ That'd be her guess about that thing... it's an interesting looking weapon, if not strangely niche. ]

That's my guess. I can't imagine it having any kind of martial art of it's own.

If all else fails I'm sure it could be used as a bludgeon if necessary.

I think I'm more of a dagger sort of person.

[ But she's turning it over, looking at the spikes. ]

A dagger, huh? Something from your memories?

They're all over avante's dorm, since our Live is combat.

Not that I know of... I think the look is just much nicer.

[ Pretty, elegant weapons. Maybe if this thing could be encrusted in jewels— ]

That's good to know; I get the feeling that this place isn't always the safest. Are you always sparring with them?

[pfft, well, fair reason.]

We do do a lot of sparring, but outside games things are usually fine.

[They offer a hand.]

[ like the clothing or-- regardless she's a little confused by the gesture but covers that up pretty quickly and takes it.. ]

So far they've just marvelled at the one there.

[ She's exaggerating. The name is Tsundere. Naturally, she's embarrassed and mad about it. ]

These weapons... they're not sharp, are they?

No, none of these ones are. All practice. Did you want to try one?

[the sword at their own hip is live steel but everything else is safe.]

I do. But maybe not with this one. Something with a pointed end--or what would have been a pointed end--would work better.

[ The man catcher is cool but she doesn't have any men to catch right now. ]

[ She's not picking up a cute dagger this time, but she is picking up something that looks a bit like a scimitar. ]

[Cardigan grabs up a practice sword.]

Try a couple swings.

Swinging, hard, nowhere near expertly but with a certain level of precision and studiousness that says she'd be pretty good at slashing and stabbing if she, you know, knew how to do it properly. ]
