Mm, same, though it also feels weird not to bring something when I visit... but also I feel like if I bring food while visiting, I'm apologizing or think the unit is sad about something, given that's what it usually means here.

As long as you have done nothing to apologize for, the worst that can happen is someone might ask you what the food is for.

I assumed that you wanted an excuse to bring some to Silver.

Mm, honestly, I'd like to get to be more comfortable around Wild City, and vice-versa.

Onigiri is what I make best, so I defaulted to that.

I would not be opposed to that. I do not speak to many people on your team, but you and Griffin are agreeable enough.

Mm, Shrike's really nice too. So is Lancelot. Cardinal is friendly and Kestrel... means well. Nemesis and Kohime are mostly just sassy.

They do not sound so different from Wild City.

What's the people like on Wild City right now?

Hm... Nychta is more invested in guarding us than in being friendly. Silver, North, and Bark are all quite friendly. I would say both Hunny and myself are more sassy... Challah and Melon are both too new to be certain, but I suspect Challah is a well-meaning type and Melon is cautious.

Sounds like a nice balance here too. Hopefully I'll get to know everyone here better and you'll get to know Avante.

It has always been a good balance here.

Agreed, but if it is just me and Silver...I think that's reasonable. Perhaps the others will show an interest after we visit a few times.

... I think Shrike and Nero always have been but, ah... because of circumstances, they never pressed it. Kestrel loves people in general.

Things were really weird in the past and I regret letting them stay that way for so long. I'd like to work toward changing them.

I think things were weird for us with most teams. People only liked me and Silver for a long time.

[ Pauses for a moment, then. ]

Mmm... as someone who's faced that from the 'rest of the team' aspect, it's really just people who wanna generalize a whole team by one or two people and give no further thought than that.

I don't think it is only that. I have heard similar things from B even though he often advised me to consider people as individuals. He's never said it so plainly....but it is clear he thinks that I'm better than most of my unit.

Mmm... I think it's more just... expectations? Like... he pretty much loathes violence. But for a lot of people here, it's just a natural part of communication, or daily life, or such. And a large majority aren't really mindful toward his preferences, even though he tries to be incredibly tolerant of theirs.

... That's kind of a specific example, and not Wild City specific, but I know it's a thing that makes him nervous around a lot of people in general. And can probably be applied to plenty of others?

If I were much younger than I am now, I would have as difficult a time with understanding what...a pacifist's boundaries are. It is a skill to be able to recognize and understand those things without being told directly what is expected of us. Most teams have little patience for people like us.

Mm, it's an unfortunate reality, that's just worsened by the games that pit us against each other. The motivation to learn more about people you barely know or need to interact with is slim to none.
