Heart and Taisho approached me in the beginning - not for an alliance but for advice. I told them to find a dance partner.

The best chance of survival in my opinion was for three units to win and bolster the other three. Though we couldn't be too overt about it because of the rules.

At the time, we also had no idea the punishments would get acted out before the end of the game too. Makes me wonder, if we had exiled them earlier, things would have worked out the way they did. That boost of points toward the end helped a lot.

... I don't want to think about the fallout of exiling a unit against their will.

Like 3 units in there would have probably been willing to fall on their swords 'to help others', they just also would have cried the whole time about how tragic their lives are. Avante's just the ones who stepped up first.

And if I had fucked up the math and only us and BARiTONES survived? Not a good look. And not something many on this unit would feel comfortable with.

None of us claimed to be playing any specific sort of way and went against that. Only ones yelling about not doing taxes and all that were Taisho and Avante. We also didn't play purely for ourselves by virtue of cooperating with another unit. Could have easily been HSS or Taisho, BiT also just got there first. And we have reasonably explainable connections to their unit.

Everyone wants to save everyone, but no one wants to put the effort into figuring out how to do that if it's not easily and clearly presented to them. Next best is saving your closest relations, with someone you can trust to uphold their end of the bargain. Most the people in that game, I have absolutely no trust to do that, because they weren't even willing to figure out how to make things work.
