[ so yugi is in a fantastic mood, probably the best one he's been in in a while, so he's in the kitchen baking some space cupcakes and whistling, all the while grinning from ear to ear. there's nothing that can spoil his mood, nope! ]

[Post-photoshoot, Wednesday is returning her cookies to a tin (because she really shouldn't eat all of them at once, so out of sight is better) when she spots Yugi by one of the worksurfaces.]

Ah--!

You look happy, Yugi-kun.

[puzzlers]

[ he's in the middle of frosting of a cupcake when she comes in, so he turns, getting a bit of frosting on the counter, oops, but he just laughs it off, giving her a wide smile. ] Ah, yeah!

[ setting the frosting back down he grabs a paper towel to clean it up. ] I'm just doing a little baking, because, did you hear, Wednesday, about X?!

[Of course she knows who Yugi is talking about. It only takes her a moment to remember the live. Well, that's not the kind of thing you forget very easily.]

He's back!

I... I can't believe it, Wednesday!
I can't believe he came back, especially after, ah, well... [ he trails off. ]

But a- anyway! I'm just making him some cupcakes. I thought it would be a nice sweet surprise. Do you want to join me?

Oh, you wouldn't mind...? Those decorations look so cute.

[She puts down the cookie plate; she gives him a quick hug, smiling.]

I'm so glad for you both. I'm sure he must have missed you, too.
