Where:Cafe a hip new diner!
When: Day 171, all day
[The Alfred Tea Room normally opens at 9am, but someone had snuck in earlier and has been working on renovations throughout the night. Anyone passing by while it’s closed might hear the cartoonish construction sounds of sawing, hammering, and drilling, because when it opens in the morning the cafe looks completely different.
The counter is still open to serve tea and cakes, but has been overtaken by this cursed 50s aesthetic. L has set up a hot plate and a mini deep fat fryer, both of which she has grown big enough to handle cooking large orders on. She greets you with a big grin, dressed in a cute waitress outfit.]
Ha! Did you think you think you were coming for a light morning tea? A simple sweet snack? Well surprise! For one day only, this cafe is an all-American diner! It’s all burgers and fries, sugar, can I take your order?
[L will be handing anyone who walks in not only the regular cafe menu but her own handwritten, painted menu. Imagine the paintings are prettier and there’s a little portrait of L in her waitress uniform skating around with a tray of food I can only do so much with a mouse on googledocs okay]
