[ if you happen to catch a glimpse at a TV screen, bright and early this morning --

the signal on the screen is live! and it seems to be split into two halves, vertically. on one side, you have a dimly-lit image of an angel in a straightjacket. there's light illuminating them from above but the surroundings are too dark to decipher where they are exactly; one can see, however, syringe needles protruding from various spots on the angel's body, many of them connected to tubes that lead offscreen. The tubes are filled with a blue light, as though extracting the angel's essence, though many needles stab through with syringes emptied of their contents and only serving the purpose of making a pincushion of the creature now.

on the other side of the screen, there's two idols chained up against a dungeon wall, hands bound above them and manacles on their ankles as well. those who've been in the House of Mirth previously may recognize it as the dungeon -- the sconces on the wall are lit, this time, clearly showing the previously-dark surroundings.

there's a figure beside them, easily seven feet tall. they're wearing either a mask or maybe it's just their real head -- it's an elongated goat skull, at the very least, with long, twisted horns. they're wearing a dark black cloak that seems to hide almost all of their body. they're holding pliers, but even their hands are gloved as if to hide anything identifying. and when they speak -- their voice is filtered, warped as if coming through a loudspeaker. ]

Are we all ready for the show to begin?

I was going to speak about an investigation I was doing, but something else came up.

I spoke with Jay about his game tower break in. He and Griffin met a demon inside.

He didn't say much, just that he met a demon who looked like a short girl with fluffy reddish brown hair.

Onscreen. He said he sweet talked his way out to avoid harm. The conversation was brief, and I didn't want to push.

Hurricane was lured to the stage through an anonymous text pretending to be someone else. Nemesis was collateral damage.

Apparently the theater looked normal, but when they walked in, it went dark. They fell. And then it ended up like what was seen on the broadcast.

Question for the class ---

Where have we seen that trick before?

I haven't seen it personally, but the notes mentioned accessing Tokyo-D happens that way... But that doesn't make sense. B and I both agreed P stands the most to lose from the reveal of a real angel.

Anyway, we agreed it couldn't be Liar Hell. Paloma told me the best way to undermine the Lady of Lies is to undermine what she's trying to sell— which is that her Heaven is real.

Which brings me to the reason I originally called this meeting— I am trying to interview all the audition idols to learn about their organization.

I'll get into it more after we wrap up this topic.

Not really, it's been slow going. I've only spoken with three.

Out of approximately ten.

I don't think all of them are mobilized— Shishiou-san, for example.

Paloma mentioned that she hasn't had the opportunity to prove herself, but I'm not sure if she has an assignment or not.

Shishiou--you mean Avante's guy? The one whose mental image in my head is rolling around in glitter yelling randomly? Yeah, I don't think I can picture him getting up to much.

Ah, they're so casual about it...

Some are, but not all. Paloma is a spy, and if she considers Azzy to be one of the best bosses she's had, there has to be a reason for it beyond his ideology.

I'm not saying that some operatives aren't a hot mess, but the whole operation is at least somewhat functional.

I find him scary as hell but I'm sure he certainly has some good points as well.

...not like. Subtly.

But other points. I mean, Mukuro is certainly devoted.
