[ if you happen to catch a glimpse at a TV screen, bright and early this morning --

the signal on the screen is live! and it seems to be split into two halves, vertically. on one side, you have a dimly-lit image of an angel in a straightjacket. there's light illuminating them from above but the surroundings are too dark to decipher where they are exactly; one can see, however, syringe needles protruding from various spots on the angel's body, many of them connected to tubes that lead offscreen. The tubes are filled with a blue light, as though extracting the angel's essence, though many needles stab through with syringes emptied of their contents and only serving the purpose of making a pincushion of the creature now.

on the other side of the screen, there's two idols chained up against a dungeon wall, hands bound above them and manacles on their ankles as well. those who've been in the House of Mirth previously may recognize it as the dungeon -- the sconces on the wall are lit, this time, clearly showing the previously-dark surroundings.

there's a figure beside them, easily seven feet tall. they're wearing either a mask or maybe it's just their real head -- it's an elongated goat skull, at the very least, with long, twisted horns. they're wearing a dark black cloak that seems to hide almost all of their body. they're holding pliers, but even their hands are gloved as if to hide anything identifying. and when they speak -- their voice is filtered, warped as if coming through a loudspeaker. ]

Are we all ready for the show to begin?

I don't have anymore information for you that what was distributed previously. And as far as I knew, Hurricane had given up on trying to summon demons directly until we figured out a way to get to the capital.

... do we think that's a new demon, or someone going for anonymity?

No idea.

The goat skull doesn't match the imagery of any of the princes. That's more... Baphomet, or something, but he'd be sort of a weird pull.

All of the princes are... well, they're old, you know? Mentioned in Abrahamic canon somewhere or based on other gods from the time period. That kind of thing. I'm pretty sure Baphomet first started to be a thing with the Knights Templar in the middle ages, and even then, he wasn't popularized until the 19th century. So, a big difference there. But it has to be someone who's pretty powerful, right? Otherwise they wouldn't be able to broadcast or probably be involved with the whole angel thing at all.

I mean, it's all very occultism, Aleister Crowley, that kind of thing. Metaphors for the totality of the universe. Though the imagery has just been mixed up with Satan in general at this point, too.
