If you were perhaps hoping for free food or actual science--- sorry, his broke-ass doesn't have the budget for that.

I do. I've also reviewed his HSS-specific communication plan. I didn't go into detail before, but he had made suggestions for a coded shorthand.

In the example he provided to me, staying at Baritones with Yvette and Mercury, be back around 6, the unit name could be a code for the type of task being performed and the names given could be parties involved or simply a way of counting the size of the party. Six could stand in for the degree of danger, or some other code that we agree upon.

Granted, this doesn't account for the communicator's ability to assess factors like the degree of danger they're in, or if phones ceased to function, but he was also interested in contingency plan construction.

But as we saw, dunking yourself can have the opposite effect of other units sacrificing themselves for you.

The reverse is not true. I'm quite fond of BARiTONES. Really, I am. But I also don't have to worry about saving their hide in a game which is less stress on me and mine.

I benefit from it, so I won't frown on it. We all go hard in our own ways.

The unit is sacrosanct. Which is to say, I'm loyal to it because that is the place where I must reside. However, if one individual's actions jeopardize the reputation of the unit as a whole, then I will inform you. We are all dispensable. The reputations we leave behind last.

That being said, BARiTONES tends to be distrustful, even of each other, but that also means they are discreet. Even if I tried to investigate them, I doubt anything would come of it.

Especially if what you said about their allegiance is true.
