Yes, I'm aware that was as much as we'd been able to surmise the last time. Saying "they disappeared" isn't a real answer though. Gods surely don't disappear without a reason.

So maybe he had a reason.

That's what I mean. However--don't you think it's more than that?

...

I understand that some of the legends of this god portray him as a being who would allow for individuals to suffer to prove their adoration. However... testing one man's faith... as opposed to letting all of existence fall to the hands of hell... those are two very different magnitudes. Even the most cowardly king would not abandon his troops--not one assure in his might and valor as the stories paint this god. Assuming that this god had reason to leave--what could have been so important--or so powerful--as to keep him away from impending war on a cosmic scale? I want to know what it was. Surely there must be some clue somewhere.

...could be his son, I guess.

From that carving, looked like he went missing after people nailed his son up.

The death of a loved one could lead one to abdicate their throne, certainly. ... It's really all speculation without the opportunity to go back.

...yeah.

S'too late now, and too much was going on then to give it a shot, but there were other candles in the other room, too. Kinda wonder if we missed stuff.
