[ there is an ear piercing scream that tears through the pep! dorm as yugi wakes up in a cold fucken sweat. his hand is on his face and that in and of itself is kind of a surprise all things considered, b- but gone... they're all... they're all gone... tears well in his eyes as he fumbles with the blankets and throws himself out of the bed. he lands about as gracefully as one could for having experienced a fight of that caliber, but he pushes himself, scrambling through the open ( and very broken ) door into the hall. ]

King? King! [ he drops to his knees, golden blood seeping from the puzzle shaped scar over his heart as he starts freaking the fuck out. ] Cobalt? Wednesday? [ please. ] Pink! Nova? [ this... this can't be happening... ] Glacies, E- Eve...

[There's a thump and a clamor of sudden activity from the lounge.]

[Then Cobalt comes FLYING around the corner, using one hand to keep himself from hitting the opposite wall.]

[He barely slows down as he just... grabs him, and smashes him into a hug]

[ Well.

Pretty abruptly, Requiem's door slams open, and she bursts out of the room, eyes wide and panicked-- and physically more than a little changed. The wings might be familiar now, after their stint in hell, but there's some metal knobs lodged into her neck? And some scarring, delicate and curling, just barely visible above the collar of her shirt. Her previously restored right eye-- the robotic one Intensity had made-- is also gone, the socket scarred over. ]

[ his head snaps up. it's cobalt. h- how. this doesn't make sense. he's gone. h- he'd been taken. he looks back down, tears dropping onto the carpet. ] Don't... d- don't... [ he swallows, the words on the tip of his tongue, but his mouth goes dry and he just goes quiet - his sobs filling the void. ]

[ the hug. it grounds him. it tells him that this is real and that cobalt is here. he cries harder, reaching for him and grabbing hold. ] Don't leave me behind.

[ he's just outside his room slouched against the wall with a hand to his aching heart. he's alone. there's no one left. he sinks to the floor, choking on his sobs as from behind his shirt his puzzle 'scar' bleeds. it's only when he hears wednesday does he finally look up, momentarily drawn from the nightmareish swirl of his own terrible thoughts. ] W- Wednesday??? [ is she... is this the real life? ]
