I think memories can be useful for general information that a person may have been interested in. I've used mine to get back knowledge about volleyball which would've been more of a pain to have to relearn without them.

But what if you don’t want to care about volleyball anymore? Just because it was important to you before does that have to mean it is important to you now?

It doesn't, but that doesn't mean it's not worth giving it a try. I thought it was fun in the past, and I do now. Not as important in my life as it was, but it's something distracting to do here.

We get along fine and nothing I've seen so far suggests otherwise. If we actually didn't get along, that should've showed up in our memories that're recent.

They needed someone squishy, but who still retained the unit's core traits of competitiveness and seriousness, to round out the unit dynamics. Makes it more dramatic when the soft one gets hurt.
