It isn't. We've fought to survive in the past, and we've done that knowing that other teams would die in our place. We discussed it, and came to an agreement as a team how we wanted to play, and how far we were willing to go. I have no doubt that they did the same thing this time too.

My teammates are not fools, and they are not the kind of people who would allow each other to throw their lives away on a whim. Even if you don't think they respect their own, they would never let any of the rest of us die for a cause we didn't believe in. Cobalt-san is too protective of everyone to let them succumb to that kind of despair. Sunshine-san would never hesitate to stop any of us from hurting ourselves that way. Yugi-kun wouldn't force anyone he loves to die because of how he wants to play. And Wednesday-chan is the bravest person on this team. She has never stopped trying to help the rest of us, no matter how scared she is, she's made far more painful sacrifices to ensure this teams survival in past games. So if this is the choice they made, then I trust them that they did it knowing what it was worth to them.

This team cares about each other, and there isn't a single member on it that would throw anyone else to the wolves because of their own personal issues. And if I truly thought they were choosing to play that way because any one of them had that kind of self-loathing, then you wouldn't have to worry about being the one to chastise them for it.
