I think we made it inevitable.

[It sounds like the confession it so very nearly is.]

We gave all our things away, and... we were okay with what that would mean. We thought that maybe we could make it through the game just - helping people, and not minding too much about ourselves. We didn't stop to think that other people would put themselves in danger to save us. Not until it was far too late to change that. We tried to save them, too... Heart Soldier, I mean. But we couldn't do enough.

I'm so sorry, D.va-chan. I just didn't think.

You didn’t make it inevitable. I can’t speak on their behalf, since I hadn’t been there, but I’m sure like you wanted to help they wanted to help. Imagine their surprise when you guys were about to lose. [ … ] You did everything you could, I’m sure. It’s not just your fault that they died. It sounds like everybody else that didn’t give them stuff or that stole their stuff is to blame too. [ she’s going to hold her closely. ] I'm not mad and I'm sure the people that are mad will get over it and realize, hey, they'd just been trying to help.
