Don't apologize. You did what you thought was right, so it's a decision you should stand by. Like, it was dumb, but that just means you just try and make less dumb ones in the future. Backing down's just disrespecting yourself.

You're right though, Ruby-chan. I should stand by my mistakes, too. I suppose it's not the decision so much? It's more that - well, all the people this hurt. I want to apologize for that much. For forgetting about them.

Anyways, if you reaaaaally wanna thank me, just remember to keep in mind that even if you think living is like, selfish or whatever -- which it's totally not, but like, even if you're so deep in the guilt hole you can't climb out -- just remember that dying's easy, but nothing worth anything's ever easy.

Dying for someone's harder, and if you're into dying at least no one can blame you for that, you know? That's actual sacrifice, the kind you gotta work for. Besides, even if you're gonna tell some they can eat shit for making you choose between two things you hate? Dying on your feet might as well just be living on your knees if you don't go out fighting.

[ There's a short pause during which Ruby rocks a bit, heel to toe, before huffing again. ]

Aaand if you really wanna go for the gold? Dying's easy, dying for someone's harder, but the number one spot? That's living for someone. Or for something. As much as I think sensitIV's a bunch of dumb jerks, they've got the right idea there. Doing no harm and fighting to live to save people another day takes a ton of thinking, it's hard to go through, and even when you do your best it doesn't always work out, but where I come from we have a saying: "Can't heal you if I'm dead."

...Besides, like I said. Nothing worth anything's ever easy. ...Man, I ramble too much...
