Cobalt: i need a professional to help me appraise these pool floats i got Cobalt: can you meet me at the park? Cobalt: bring a towel and some clothes you can swim in
[When Hurricane arrives at the designated location by the lake, the first thing he may notice are severalcolorfulpooltoys floating out on the water. (sorry for the models in the photos, what can you do.)
There are a couple other floats laid out on the grass, which Cobalt is still in the process of inflating with an electric air pump. When he sees Hurricane coming, he grins and waves him over.
I saw when we were swimming at the gym together that one time a million years ago that you have to take your leg off to go swimming. So we made you a ✨Pool Leg!✨
...Well, let's be real, Intensity made it. But Nemesis and I helped. This is a gift from all of us!
[But anyway, Intensity approaches Hurricane with a clothed wrapped bundle that is vaguely leg shaped. Even better - it's vaguely the shape of his leg.
Whatever it's made of, it blurring the line between something that's a heavy duty durable plastic and something that's not quite metal. But that might just be due to the heavy waterproof coating that protects the outside. The foot portion is also a bit wider and flatter for better swimming.]
It comes with a light---
[Built into the knee]
And a motor.
[Which is encased in the foot (also probably why it's wider than average).]
Nothing too powerful but it should propel you at a leisurely pace if you start feeling lazy.
Also don't be surprised if the water gets into the leg when submerged and drains when you take it out. That's to help regulate the weight to be similar to your flesh and blood leg.
[Sorry, dude, not a chance. Which is to say, he's shifting the leg to nestle in the crook of his elbow so he can loop an arm around Intensity, casual, and jostle him like an enthusiastic puppy with a toy.]
You never even said. How long've you been working on this thing?
Like anything could stop me. Pretty sure if I don't get to try this thing in the next couple minutes, the world's gonna find out what causes spontaneous combustion.
[Which is to say, plonking himself down right there on the ground and pulling his screwdriver out of his superhero belt pouch.]
