Some of you may have played this before! The area is familiar for sure: today's playing field is an expansive balcony with several mini-tables paired with two patio chairs each, garden umbrellas planted to keep the heat away. You can see the rest of the city from up here, too - it turns out you're pretty high up as you can even see the start of the Rainbow Bridge from here, though the railings are high so there's not a high likelihood of accidentally falling down.

There are a few pink lemonade pitchers scattered around with paper cups if you're thirsty, and some bite-sized chocolates if you're hungry. Cute snack food!

The instructions look familiar, too: it's a light game, with no enforced truth-telling even. No status effects! Just dates!

There are cards on the table, too! ]

Nah, none of the powers are a secret-- it's just that none of us like talking about it. People tend not to trust us enough as it is....

If it's based on your unit's appearance, that's a silly thing to judge someone by. People should know better than to consider you all delinquents, even if you're forced to dress like one.

There's other reasons.... mistakes we've made, things we've done when not in our right minds... I don't begrudge anyone for their feelings, though I wish they'd give my unitmates more of a chance...

If... you were possessed or something, people shouldn't hold that kind of thing against you. I heard about, um... well, a couple of times when people have been forced to act against their normal personality...

It would be cruel to hold something like that over your head if that's the case.

And anyway... [She frowns...] It...that is... the things someone might do under the duress of a game... should not be held against them, either.

[ His voice is soft as he speaks. ]

No one wants to hear "demons made me do it" when it's your fault the demons were there in the first place... when you tried to do something to help everyone, but all they see in their minds eye is the look on your face, impassive as you order the deaths of entire teams.... and then you have the nerve to feel bad about it after? I.... don't have the right to be angry at anyone for their feelings...

[ Screw that kind of mentality! She'll get angry on his behalf, then. ]

That's the kind of thing those stupid demons want for people to feel. If you tried to help and were possessed, you are just as much of a victim as everyone else and don't let people treat you as otherwise.

I'll go yell at them myself if I have to! People can be so ridiculous at times. [She's really annoyed about this, actually. ] At least you tried to do something. And I know you won't stop feeling bad, just because I tell you that you should. But you aren't to blame for that. And people should stop acting like they are somehow more saintly and use their brains. Because they're falling in line just like how those demons want them to.

[ He looks startled. Unfortunately, anything else he might have said is lost by the buzzer going off. ]

[ She actually jumps, startled by the sound of the buzzer... before lifting a hand up to rub at the back of her neck. ]

I guess...that's a strange place to leave off at. But... I hope we can talk again in the future. And please look up, okay?
